Life Legacy
Donis (Granny) Gordy, 103, of Cody, passed away peacefully at Powell Valley Care Center early Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
She is survived by her 3 daughters: Edyth Nell Murry of Westlake, LA, Janis Holder of Cody, WY, and Norita Helton of Leesville, LA; a brother Roy Berry; 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband Marshal Gordy, brothers Harold and Jim Berry, and sisters Vivian Waskom, Bert Stewart, and Demple Lawrence.
Donis asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Cody Senior Center, 613 16th St., Cody, WY 82414 and to Powell Valley Health Care, 777 Ave H, Powell, WY 82435.
Funeral services will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11:00am with Pete Idema officiating. Burial will follow at the Welcome Cemetery in Simpson, LA. An online memorial is available at www.ballardfh.com
