Powell, WY – Jacquelyn “Jacie” Griffin, 65, died Saturday, August 13, 2011 at her residence in Powell, WY.
Jacquelyn “Jacie” Syndergaard, the daughter of John Frank and Darlene (Holt) Syndergaard was born March 11, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She attended high school in Meeteetse, WY.
On January 26, 1963, Jacie was united in marriage with Phillip “Ed” Griffin in Meeteetse, WY. She was a homemaker, and her greatest love was taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jacie liked to garden and cook. On the creative side, she enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Jacie also loved to fish, whether the fish were biting or not, she found peace on the shore.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Ed of Powell, WY; five sons, Tony (Amanda) of Cody, WY, Richard (Wanda) of Big Piney, WY, Scott of Eagle, CO, Steve (Mindy) of Meeteetse, WY, Jack (Amy) of Rock Springs, WY; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joan (Gary) Clymore of Roundup, MT, Carol Jarzyna of Billings, MT, Lottie Farver of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, John Frank.
The family has requested that memorials be directed to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
