Life Legacy
Susie Cain, age 78, died peacefully on Sunday, March 20, 2011 after a brief illness.
Susie was born September 23, 1932 in Sheridan, Wyoming. She spent much of her life working as a waitress in various restaurants in Cody. Susie loved to serve people and made a multitude of friends over her life. She was never afraid to take in those who needed help, be they people or her beloved pets.
She is survived by daughter Susen (Ron) Erickson of Powell, WY and sons Jerry of North Pole, AK, Byron (Donna) of Brewster, MA, and Daryl (Bonnie) of Helena, MT. She is also survived by grandchildren Tyd (Angie) Erickson of Meeteetse, WY, Tammy (Casey) Cloninger of Larned, KS, Nathan Cain of Brewster, MA, Jennifer Landry, of Dallas TX, April Phelts of Boston, MA, and Logan and Ryan Cain of Helena, MT. Her great grandchildren include Kelly and Colton Cloninger and Kalvin and Jayson Erickson.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Lester in 2005.
Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 8:30 AM on Friday March 25. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery at 3:30 PM, Friday March 25. A remembrance will be held at Cassies from 4:00 to 6:00 on Friday, March 25 and all those who knew Susie are welcome to attend.
Since Susie loved animals, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Park County Animal Shelter. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.ballardfh.com.
