Biography

Susan J. Weisbeck, 69, Cody, passed away in a tragic accident at her home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010.
She was born in Buffalo, NY to Freeman and Mercedes Yoder. She graduated from Alden (NY) Central High School in 1959 and worked as a bank teller for Marine Midland Bank in Buffalo NY until she married David on October 7, 1961 and had 2 sons: Michael and Patrick. She also was an auxiliary Police officer for the town of Alden NY until the family moved to Cody in 1980. Here, Sue worked 11 years for the Game and Fish Department as a game check station clerk. She loved her job and all the people, hunters and outfitters she met. She enjoyed snowmobiling, ATV riding, cooking, gardening, hot-air ballooning, hunting and camping. One of her proudest hunts was bagging a moose on her 25th wedding anniversary. Recently, she was elected to her third term as a committee woman. Sue was beloved by her friends, and always had a smile and a story to share.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Patrick.
She is survived by her husband David, Cody, WY, son Michael Weisbeck, Jacksonville, FL, sister Kathleen (Norman) Woronowski, of New York, and two nephews: Norman and Darren Woronowski.
Viewing will be held at Ballard Funeral Home on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 4-6pm. Vigil services will be held at St. Anthony’s Church on Friday, October 8 at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony’s on Saturday, October 9 at 10:00am with graveside services following at Riverside. In lieu of flower please send a donation to the Carmelite Monks of Clark. Ballard Funeral Home of Cody, WY is in charge of arrangements.
